15TH STEERING GROUP MEETING OF EUSDR PA5

The Steering Group meeting concentrated on discussing and sharing the latest activities of PA5 with the SG members and observers of the priority area.

In the first half of the day the hosting Romanian co-coordinator, Mr Gheorghe Constantin welcomed the members and observers of the SG. The Hungarian co-coordinator, Mr László Balatonyi, PhD presented the most important activities of the priority area, listing what happened since the last SG meeting.

The main focus of the meeting was the discussion about the recent revision of the Action Plan, which resulted in a consolidated input for the European Commission to draft the first draft of the new Action Plan. Based on the past years’ experience, the SG (by written procedure) has agreed on restructuring the action points before the SG took place. During the meeting the Hungarian co-coordination presented the implementation plan of the new actions.

In the second half of the meeting, the PA5 related project progress were presented, also the ICPDR, the Danube Strategy Point and other related areas have shared their latest updates about their activities.

The next steps will be the implementation of PA5 project activities, like the e-learning material and trainings, but also to prepare for the Annual Forum of the EUSDR end of June 2019. More information about the Annual Forum can be found here.
