New PA5 related funding opportunities are available at Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI CBC Programme 2014-2020 (HUSKROUA) and the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO).

 

The Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI CBC Programme 2014-2020 (HUSKROUA) is one of 16 programmes of Cross Border Cooperation (CBC) on the external borders of the European Union, implemented under the European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI), for the financial framework 2014-2020.

 

The 3rd Call for Proposals of the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine ENI CBC Programme 2014-2020 has been launched on 14 November 2019. The tender’s objectives are connected to the PA5 Action Plan at Thematic Objective 8: Common challenges in the field of safety and security Priority 1 Support to joint activities for the prevention of natural and man-made disasters as well as joint action during emergency situations.

The Joint Monitoring Committee approved the extension of the 3rd Call for Proposals, the new deadline for the online submission of applications is 27 February, 2020 at 14:00 CET. Applications must be submitted online. For further informations click here.

 

We would like to recommend an another call for proposal by European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (DG ECHO) which also related with PA5.

 

The tender called ‘Prevention and Preparedness for Cross-border Risks’ which aims to handle most natural and man-made disasters therefore present cross-border risks due to their spatial dimension (earthquakes, fires, severe weather, floods and space weather), as well as the volatility and scale of their impacts (pandemics, livestock epidemics, nuclear/industrial accidents). While disasters know no borders, it is also a great opportunity for macro-regional cooperation. The tender’s topic is connected with the PA5 priorities at Priority 1: Developing cross-border risk assessments and Priority 2: Enhancing cross-border emergency management.
