National Civil Protection and disaster management capacities increasingly risk being overwhelmed by cascading or simultaneous disasters. The Covid-19 pandemic and Russia’s war on Ukraine have further revealed the need for better European preparedness for future large-scale emergencies, while displaying the limitations of the current framework.
EU Civil Protection Mechanism has new calls, you can submit your new project ideas. Two tenders are open for submission now:

- Prevention and Preparedness Projects on Civil Protection and Marine Pollution, deadline date is: 24th May 2022 17:00:00 Brusells time. More information can be found here.
The 7th European Civil Protection Forum is going to take place between the 28-29 June, 2022 in Brussels. This will be the first one since the outbreak of COVID-19. It is going to be an ideal platform for a joint reflection on the current and future role of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. More information can be found here.
