New application opportunities for environmental and nature conservation projects for 2024! The 2024 package of the LIFE Programme of the European Union was announced on 18 April for a total envelope of EUR 571 million, with a deadline for submission of proposals by mid-September.
The newly added calls (32), provide opportunity for:
- traditional projects
- strategic projects
- projects supporting the preparation of a strategic project
- proposals focusing on the transition to renewable energy, increasing energy efficiency by breaking market barriers
- support of nonprofit organisations
- submission of projects that establish and operate regional or national support structures
- developing projects that provide technical support to municipalities to and implement their short- and medium-term CCS plans and strategies, also building the necessary capacities for them
- to apply for projects to provide operators/owners of existing district heating systems with the necessary technical support to prepare investment plans for fuel conversion of existing district heating systems
- projects that create innovative, tailor-made, market-oriented financing schemes that encourage private financing of sustainable energy investments
