PrevEnhancing Regional Cooperation in the Danube Basin: Stronger Together06 May 2025

Macro-regional & Sea Basin Strategies Days 2025 – Join Us in Brussels!

The Macro-regional & Sea Basin Strategies Days 2025 will take place on 24–25 September in Brussels, bringing together key implementers, EU institutions, regional and national stakeholders, civil society, and youth from across Europe’s macro-regions and sea basins.

Organised by the European Commission, the event will feature high-level sessions, interactive workshops, and networking moments, including the popular Speed Dating with the Commission, exhibitions of EU cooperation projects, and art from the Living Without Leaving contest. The event provides a space to reflect on the future of EU cooperation, from energy and water resilience, to territorial security, enlargement, and governance innovation.

More information is available on the official EC webpage:

Join Our Workshop on Water Resilience!

We are proud to invite you to the dedicated side event:

“Water Extremes, Water Resilience and Disaster Risk Management”
— Macro-regional Strategies in Action

This interactive session will explore how macro-regional strategies are addressing some of Europe’s most pressing water-related challenges – from nutrient pollution and flood risk to biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation.

Representatives from the Danube, Baltic, Alpine and Adriatic–Ionian regions will present their ongoing work and share reflections on how macro-regional cooperation can support the implementation of the EU Water Resilience Initiative. Youth voices and project examples will also contribute to a forward-looking, inclusive dialogue.

Registrations are now open!
