DTP-CAPITALISATION HANDBOOK
DTP is capitalising on the SEE capitalisation experiences. Following the results of the DTP 1st Call the winning project were aggregated into Thematic Poles based on their fields of activity. Currently there are 11 thematic poles defined within the DTP Program. EUSDR Priority Area coordinators took important role as Thematic Pole Leaders such EUSDR PA5 coordination within Thematic Pole 4 – water management.
First, the focus has been put on cooperation within the Thematic Pole, with third programmes, initiatives, institutions, etc which has the aim to reinforce the existing networks of relevant stakeholders and create new ones, to fill in knowledge gaps by linking actors with complementary thematic specialisation, experiences, methodological approaches or territorial relevance. The aim is to identify solutions to common challenges through sharing good practices and methodologies, widen the scope of planned outputs, elaborate policy recommendations, common policy guidelines
In the past months, the Danube Transnational Programme (DTP) Managing Authority/Joint Secretariat carried out an analysis of the first year implementation of the DTP Capitalisation Strategy.
The results of the analysis confirmed the positive direction taken by the Thematic Poles and the strong cooperation established with the EUSDR PACs.
Two main challenges have been identified, thanks to the survey: definition and explanation of clear roles among the actors involved in the DTP capitalisation, and budgetary constraints.
DTP have immediately addressed the first challenge by creating the CS Handbook, where they tried to provide answers to your questions related to the implementation of the Capitalisation Strategy. You can find the CS Handbook on the webpage of the DTP Capitalisation Strategy.
As far as the budgetary constraints linked to capitalisation activities are concerned, they will be discussed with the DTP Monitoring Committee during the meeting planned on the 21-22 March.
