EUSDR START PROJECTS

 

The main objectives of START project fund was the kick-start project development in the Danube Region in order to facilitate the financing of transnational projects (preparation activities, finding project partners, etc.) and also of smaller projects. START help edorganisations and institutions to develop and implement their project ideas (small organisations, NGOs, etc.)

 

Two open calls for proposals were organised in 2014 and in 2015 and out of more than 1.000 applications 48 projects were successfully implemented until the end of 2016. More than 200 partner organisations from 14 different countries worked closely together, sharing their experiences on all topics addressing the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, finding solutions for common challenges and preparing strategies for future activities to make the Danube basin a strong and wealthy region, with a healthy socio-economic environment.

 

Priority Areas supported the START project fund with selection of the best initiations relating to their objectives. Four projects were selected under EUSDR PA5.
