Urban Innovative Actions (UIA) Initiative 3rd Call for proposals
Urban Innovative Actions (UIA) is an Initiative of the European Commission that provides urban areas throughout Europe with resources to test new and unproven solutions to address urban challenges.
The call opened on 15 December and will close on 30 March 2018 at 2pm CET. Proposals shall be submitted among others in the topic of ‘Adaptation to Climate Change‘ by the applicants.
Eligible applicant is any urban authority of a local administrative unit defined according to the degree of urbanisation as city, town or suburb comprising at least 50 000 inhabitants, or any association or grouping of urban authorities of local administrative units defined according to the degree of urbanisation as city, town or suburb where the total population is at least 50 000 inhabitants; this can include cross-border associations or groupings, associations or groupings in different regions and/or Member States.
Urban Authorities are expected to establish strong local partnerships with the right mix of complementary partners. All partners need to be from the EU. A partnership for an UIA project can be made up of a (Main) Urban Authority, associated urban authorities and delivery partners. The wider group of stakeholders is not part of the project partnership but should also be involved in the project.
Project duration should be max. 36 months and project budget is limited to 5 million EUR (with 80% co-financing rate from EU).
