STOPFIRES
The project's objective is to increase environmental resilience to climate change and risk prevention through improved fire disaster management, emergency preparedness and awareness raising of vulnerable natural areas in CB region.
MYRIAD
MYRIAD-EU’s mission is to catalyse a paradigm shift in how risks are currently assessed and managed.
LOCALIENCE
Developing resilience against extreme weather threats caused by climate change at local level in Central Europe
RISKHUB II.
The aim of the RISKHUB II project is to reduce risks through the development of interoperability
between Slovenia and Hungary
between Slovenia and Hungary
PROFOUND
The PROFOUND (Procedures of Rescue Organizations in Flood Operations Unified in the Danube Region) project aims to improve the cooperation between non-governmental response capacities involved in flood response in the Danube Region with establishing and exercising a common framework for training and deploying in synergy with the Union Civil Protection Mechanism.
RISKHUB
The project’s main aim is to strengthen disaster preparedness and response capacity to climate change-related risks along the Hungarian-Slovakian border by improving the cooperation of volunteer fire brigades and municipalities.
SEERISK
The main purpose of the project is to improve coherence among risk assessments undertaken by the countries from the South East Europe Programme area at national and local level, especially in case of disasters intensified by climate change.
WACOM
WACOM will enable the development of response mechanisms, where some components were already implemented i.e. flood forecasting system for the Sava river basin, while the response component is still missing. This was proven during recent accidents: accidental pollution of the Spreča river in 2018 and extreme flood event on Sava river basin in 2014.
Wildfire
The Action plan of the Environmental Risks Priority Area (PA5) of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) focusing on strengthening the cooperation between disaster response organizations is one of the main goals, which is also in the focus of this project. Concentrating on a specific hazard will provide an opportunity to identify the gaps and best practices based on the characteristics of cross-border cooperation of volunteer assets.
