Horizon Europe calls related to EUSDR PA 5

Under Pillar II of Horizon Europe, several new calls were made available at EuroAccess. EuroAccess is a search tool to support the use of existing funding opportunities to improve economic, social, and territorial cohesion in the European Union and its Macro-Regions.

Pillar II of Horizon Europe focuses on global challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness. Cluster 1 – Health, Cluster 2 – Culture, Creativity and Inclusive society, and Cluster 5 – Climate, Energy and Mobility.

Under Cluster 1 – Health, the following topics are in connection with the actions of EUSDR PA 5:

  • Health impacts of climate change, costs and benefits of action and inaction
  • European partnership for the assessment of risks from chemicals (PARC)

 

Under Cluster 2 – Culture, Creativity and Inclusive society the following topic is in connection with the actions of EUSDR PA 5:

  • Green technologies and materials for cultural heritage

 

Under Cluster 3 – Civil Security for Society the following topic is in connection with the actions of EUSDR PA 5:

  • Disaster-Resilient Society for Europe

 

Under Cluster 5 – Climate, Energy and Mobility (Destination 1 – Climate sciences and responses for the transformation towards climate neutrality  and Destination 2 – Cross-sectoral solutions for the climate transition) the following topics are in connection with the actions of EUSDR PA 5:

  • Improved understanding of greenhouse gas fluxes and radiative forcers, including carbon dioxide removal technologies
  • Modeling the role of the circular economy for climate change mitigation
  • Maximizing the impact and synergy of European climate change research and innovation
  • Enhanced integrated assessment in pursuit of global climate goals
  • A better understanding of the interactions between climate change impacts and risks, mitigation and adaptation options
  • Supporting and standardizing climate services
  • Improved economic methods for decision-making on climate and environmental policies
  • Restoration of natural wetlands, peatlands and floodplains as a strategy for fast mitigation benefits; pathways, trade-offs and co-benefits
  • The contribution of forest management to climate action: pathways, trade-offs and co-benefits
  • Sustainable, safe and efficient recycling processes (Batteries Partnership)
  • Emerging technologies for a climate neutral Europe
  • Fostering a just transition in Europe
  • Strengthening Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) research communities in climate, energy and mobility disciplines
  • Accelerating the climate transition in difficult contexts: transition super-labs (pilot)
  • Co-Funded Partnership: Driving Urban Transitions to a sustainable future (DUT)
